IMPARTIALITY POLICY STATEMENT

 

Being impartial, and being perceived to be impartial, is a necessity for Peer Quality Assurance Ltd and allows us to deliver certification that provides confidence. The PQAL top Management are totally committed to the ethos of Impartiality with the Certification industry and have built PQAL around a core of commitment to impartiality.

PQAL certification decisions are based on objective evidence of conformity (or nonconformity) obtained through our assessment and certification process, and our decisions are not influenced by other interests or by other parties and shall not allow commercial, financial or other pressures to compromise impartiality.

We take potential conflicts of interest seriously and ensure that impartiality is not compromised at any point.

PQAL Auditors are prohibited from participating in the audit of any organisation to which they have given consultancy or where they have any financial or commercial interest for a minimum period of 2 years prior to the date of application of the organisation for registration.

PQAL shall not suggest or imply that certification would be simpler, easier or less expensive if consultancy or training services were used.

When a relationship poses an unacceptable threat to impartiality (such as a wholly owned subsidiary of the certification body requesting certification from its parent), then certification shall not be provided.

CONFIDENTIALITY POLICY STATEMENT

 

Confidential information is a mainstay of PQAL operations and as such our procedures are in place to effectively manage confidential client information.  All persons having access to this information are subject to Non-Disclosure Agreements.

Where confidential information is required by law or authorized by contractual arrangements is to be made available to other parties such as accreditation bodies etc., then the client will be informed, and written consent gained, unless regulated by law.

PQAL states to its clients, in advance through the client contract and term and conditions, of the information it intends to place in the public domain. All other information, except for information that is made publicly accessible by the client, shall be considered confidential

When Information is gained concerning PQAL’s interested Parties from sources other than directly, this information will always be treated as confidential

Peer Quality Assurance Ltd is an Accredited Certification Body offering auditing and Certification services across a range of International Management System Standards
This Privacy Policy explains how we use any personal information we collect from you during the certification process, from Application onwards. What information do we collect about you? During the Application process, we collect information about your organization to enable us to determine our capability to deliver Accredited Certification in line with the requirements of International Management System Standards, at this point the only personal information collected
will be:
 Name
 Address
 Email
 Telephone number
During the Auditing process, we are required to record the names and positions of personnel in attendance at the Opening and Closing Meetings.
How will we use the information about you?
The information you provide us is only used to allow PQAL to contact you during the Certification Process and this information are only available to the Accreditation Bodies PQAL work with, during their annual compliance audits. These Accreditation Bodies ensure confidentiality through strict ‘Non-Disclosure’ agreements. Access to your information and correction You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you.
